The Village of Evergreen Park recognizes that Saturday, October 31 is an important day for the youth of Evergreen Park, but likewise, wants to keep the trick or treating activity in safe levels during this pandemic.
Therefore, on Monday, October 19, the Board of Trustees approved Trick Or Treating on Halloween with the following parameters:
Trick or Treating will be permitted on Saturday, October 31 between the hours of 3pm and 6pm. The Village of Evergreen Park encourages all trick or treaters, along with their parents, to actively practice all social distancing and safety precautions, including the use of masks and avoidance of large groups. All trick or treating must cease at 6pm.
Residents who wish to participate in Trick or Treat activities are asked to let the kids know you are participating. We have attached a Welcome flyer here, designating you as a Trick or Treat House.
Residents who do not wish to participate can likewise download a "Sorry, Not Available" flyer here for their front door.
The Recreation Department is offering a fun Halloween activity for families, and you can read the details here!
We wish you all a very happy and safe holiday; and we hope we do not get a repeat of the Great Halloween Blizzard of 2019.
