The City Watch Program is a computer based program that allows the Police, Fire, and Public Works departments to send out important or emergency messages to residents and businesses in the community by phone. This can be done by geographical location or by listing the type of group to be contacted such as all of the schools in the village. Currently, all of the published phone numbers of residents and businesses are in the system. The system is set up to leave a message on an answering machine.

The village recently put the system into use with the Little Company of Mary gas pipe leak alerting residents and businesses in the area surrounding the hospital about the leak.

City Watch is not intended to replace the block captain system in place in the village. Simply, it is a tool that can be used to enhance the village's capability to notify residents in case of a water main break, weather warnings, or neighborhood watch information. If you have an unregistered phone number please contact the Police Dept. (708)422-2142 ask for Wayne Gutowski or Records.
